Buenos Aires, Dec 19 (NA) — Justice is advancing the investigation against Marcelo Porcel, a high-profile businessman linked to the real estate and financial sectors, accused of abusing his son's schoolmates in the Palermo neighborhood.

The case, being handled by the National Criminal and Correctional Court No. 50, brings together testimonies from ten teenagers aged 13 and 14. According to Argentine News Agency, Porcel is the son of the founder of Argencard and served as the concessionaire for the Oh! shopping mall until recently.

Justice expects to complete all statements under the "Cámara Gesell" procedure (a special method for testifying with children) before proceeding with the summons. In the business world, he is also listed as the president of the agricultural firm Campazu S.A..

He has been accused of abusing his son's schoolmates.

The Manipulation Methodology

The investigation, initiated on July 5, 2024, describes a pattern of behavior where the businessman used his proximity to the school environment to gain the trust of the victims.

Control Mechanisms: According to the complaints, Porcel provided alcohol and money to minors in exchange for completing "challenges," such as performing activities in their underwear.

The "World Cup Hook": It is stated in the case file that he offered 2022 World Cup stickers as an incentive for the boys to consume alcoholic beverages.

Locations of the Events: The abuses are said to have occurred at the Le Parc tower, in a nearby apartment, and in his downtown offices.

Evidence and Procedural Status

During raids, electronic devices were seized where nude photos of the minors and chats reinforcing the idea of secrecy were allegedly found.

Despite Judge Carlos Bruniard ordering a restraining order and prohibiting him from approaching the school and the GEBA club, the families are claiming that the businessman has not yet been called to testify nor has a preventive detention order been issued.
